Overview
NU:BRID는 Perisphere 프로젝트에서 클라이언트가 보유한 디자인을 기반으로, 구조적·인체공학적 측면에서 필요한 개선을 진행하고 실제 사용 환경에 적합한 형태로 디자인을 정리했습니다.
특히 디스플레이 밴드와 헤드밴드를 연결하는 힌지 구조의 안정성, Eye Position·IPD(Interpupillary Distance)·Eye Relief·Focal Alignment 등 XR 장비에서 기본적으로 고려해야 할 요소들이 충분히 반영되지 않아 이를 중심으로 보완 작업을 진행했습니다.
또한 KISTA(한국특허전략개발원)와 특허법인 IPS의 지재권 분석을 바탕으로 선행기술과 디자인 리스크를 점검하며, 구조·조형·사용 경험을 보다 현실적인 방향으로 재정리했습니다.
이 디자인은 이후 CES 2026 최고혁신상을 수상하며 개선 방향이 국제적으로 인정받았습니다.
NU:BRID refined the Perisphere design using the client’s existing concept, addressing structural and ergonomic issues and adapting the form for practical use.
Key improvements focused on hinge stability between the display band and headband, along with essential XR human-factor considerations—Eye Position, IPD (Interpupillary Distance), Eye Relief, and Focal Alignment—which were underrepresented in the original design.
With intellectual property analysis conducted with KISTA and IPS Patent Group, NU:BRID reviewed prior art and potential risks, reorganizing the structure, form language, and user experience in a more realistic and workable direction.
The refined design was later recognized with the CES 2026 Highest Innovation Award.
Design Approach
NU:BRID는 구조 안정성, 사용성, 제조성, 브랜드 톤, 지재권 전략을 모두 고려해 Perisphere의 디자인을 정리했습니다.

• XR Human Factors Integration
IPD 범위, Eye Relief, Focal Alignment 등 XR 장비에서 기본이 되는 요소들을 실사용 조건에 맞춰 재구성했습니다.
We adjusted core XR human factors—IPD, Eye Relief, and Focal Alignment—to fit practical usage conditions.
• Structural Refinement
힌지 강성, 회전 저항, 밴드 텐션 흐름 등을 개선하여 장시간 착용에서도 안정성을 유지하도록 설계했습니다.
We improved hinge stiffness, rotational resistance, and tension distribution to remain stable during extended wear.
• Design Language & Flow
디스플레이·센서·조작부가 자연스럽게 연결되는 흐름을 만들고, 브랜드에 맞는 조형을 정돈했습니다.
We aligned the display, sensors, and controls into a cohesive flow and refined the form to suit the brand’s tone.
• Manufacturability
사출·조립 기준에 맞는 파트 구조, 프레임 보강, 유지보수 요소 등을 고려해 개발 단계로 이어질 수 있는 기반을 마련했습니다.
We structured parts for molding and assembly and reinforced internal framing to support the next development stages.
• IP Strategy
선행특허 분석 기반으로 충돌 요소를 정리하고, 향후 확장 가능한 구조적·조형적 요소를 도출했습니다.
We identified risk areas through prior-art analysis and extracted features with potential for future IP expansion.

측면광 유입을 줄여 몰입 경험을 높입니다.
Side curtains that limit ambient side lighting to enhance immersion.
• 보관 가방 | Storage / Carrying Case
장치와 액세서리를 안전하게 보관하고 이동하기 위한 구조로 설계한 케이스입니다.
A dedicated case designed for safe storage and transport of the device and accessories.
최종 디자인은 구조·형태·사용 흐름이 자연스럽게 이어지도록 정리되었으며, XR 휴먼팩터 요소들이 반영되어 다양한 사용자에게 안정적인 시야 조건을 제공합니다.
The final design connects structure, form, and user flow in a natural way, incorporating XR human-factor considerations to support a wide range of users.
강화된 힌지 구조, 정돈된 밴드 텐션, 그리고 액세서리 시스템의 적용으로 사용성과 몰입감도 개선되었습니다.
With a reinforced hinge system, refined tension flow, and the applied accessory system, usability and immersion were improved.
양산 설계를 고려한 파트 구조와 CMF 전략을 반영하여, 실제 개발 단계로 이어질 수 있는 기반을 확보했습니다.
Parts structured for production and an aligned CMF strategy allow the design to move toward the development phase.
Perisphere 프로젝트는 초기 시안의 부족한 부분을 개선하고, 구조·휴먼팩터·조형·지재권 전략을 일관된 방향으로 정리한 고도화 작업입니다.
The Perisphere project refined an incomplete draft into a coherent design aligned across structure, human factors, form language, and IP strategy.
